The .BIZ domain can only be used for a "bona fide business or commercial use". A bona fide business use is one of the following:
- To exchange goods, services, or property of any kind;

- To facilitate (i) the exchange of goods, services, information, or property of any kind; or, (ii) the ordinary course of trade or business.
Registering a domain name solely for the purposes of (1) selling, trading or leasing the domain name for compensation, or (2) the unsolicited offering to sell, trade or lease the domain name for compensation does not constitute a "bona fide business or commercial use" of that domain name.
For illustration purposes, the following do not constitute a "bona fide business or commercial use" of a domain name:
- Using or intending to use the domain name exclusively for personal, noncommercial purposes; or
- Using or intending to use the domain name exclusively for the expression of noncommercial ideas (i.e., registering abcsucks.biz exclusively to criticize or otherwise express an opinion on the products or services of ABC company, with no other intended business or commercial purpose).

What is allowed in a .BIZ domain registration and what is not?
.BIZ names can contain the English-language letters A through Z, and the digits 0 through 9. You can also use hyphens, but hyphens cannot begin or end your domain name. Spaces and special characters (such as !, $, &, ë, and so on) are never permitted for any domain name. The minimum length is 3 characters, and the maximum length is 63 characters (excluding the "http://www" and ".BIZ" portions).
At this time, .BIZ does not support multilingual domain names in foreign character sets, but it may in the future.

Contact your current sponsoring Registrar and request the domain's <AUTHINFO> or authorization code, which we will need in order to initiate the transfer process for your domain. With <AUTHINFO> code in hand, complete our simple domain transfer form and sign up for a WDBC domain account if you don't already have one to transfer your domain registrar sponsorship to WDBC and save! Filling out the forms takes about 10 minutes. The transfer itself usually takes about 1 week to complete. What is the <AUTHINFO>, <AUTH>, or authorization code needed to transfer a .BIZ domain name?
An <AUTHINFO>, <AUTH>, or authorization code is a six- to 16-character "password" assigned by a sponsoring Registrar. It identifies your domain name in the Registry. No DOT-BIZ domain name transfer request can be successfully executed without this password.
