Domain Renewal Frequently Asked Questions
How much does it cost to renew my domain name?
Costs associated with registering and renewing domain names varies
by registration term length and top-level
domain (TLD).
At WDBC, registrations and renewals are priced similarly. Renew the
most popular domain names for as low as $13.70 per year per domain.
Please consult our current
price list.
How many years can I renew a domain name for?
During our simple online domain renewal process, you can renew your
domain name(s) for one, two, or five years. If you renew a
domain name for more than 1 year, you do so with additional savings.
What
will happen to my domain name if I don't renew it?
Sixty-days before your domain(s) expire, WDBC will
send e-mail notices from domains (AT) wdbc DOT com (or from our
automated registerapi.com system) reminding you to renew your domain
names. The exact expiration date can be seen in your account or
through a whois search
for your domain name. If a WDBC registered domain expires, it will
automatically redirect to a renewal reminder page on our site instead
of your web hosting account, however it will still be maintained
in our registration database for a 45-day period where it can still
be renewed at normal price. After the grace period, the domain
will be deactivated and placed into a 30-day Redemption Period.
Although the domain(s) are scheduled for deletion at this point, they can
still be retrieved by filling out a redemption
form request.
The fee for reactivating a domain in the Redemption Period is $99.95
plus the normal renewal fee. At the end of the Redemption Period,
the domain(s) will go into a 5-day delete cycle. Once the cycle
ends, the domain name will become available for anyone
worldwide to
register
on
a first come, first served basis. Chances are it will be snapped
up quickly in the booming expired domain market.

My
domain is in the redemption period. I want to renew it.
What do I do?
During the Redemption Period, a domain name can still be retrieved
by filling out the redemption
reactivation form. The fee for reactivating a domain in the
Redemption Period is $99.95 PLUS the normal renewal fee. At the
end of the Redemption Period, the domain(s) will go into a 5-day
delete cycle and then become available for
anyone to register worldwide on a first come, first served basis.
I still have questions about the renewals process, can you help me?
Absolutely! We are happy to answer any questions you have about
our company, our services and domain name registration in general.
Please fill out our brief customer
support form or send an email to domains (AT) wdbc (DOT) com describing your specific question in detail. We typically respond to email messages within 12 hours of message receipt including nights and weekends. You can also
