- 10.12.2004 - WDBC Introduces Live Support Chat.
Today, Web Design by Cookie introduced live chat functionality with our
customer service specialists directly through our family of web sites.
Customer service representitives will be providing nearly 80 hours
of coverage per week including nights and weekends to assist our customers
and site visitors. To use the chat function look for the chat live
auto-switch images on our site pages (see icon in orange margin
at right). If it says, "click here to chat live," an operator
is standing by to chat with you and address any questions you might
have about our services. Chat hours vary daily and are available via
a link beneath the live chat icons. The chat feature will allow us
to "speak" directly with customers examining our site. WDBC live chat
is powered by Boldchat.
- 10.6.2004 - WDBC Accredited by CentralNic; Adds Global Domains.
In conjunction with CentralNic, WDBC has introduced a series of geo-specific,
dot com domain names called Global Domains to it's domain registration
offerings. Global domains work just like .com with great availability.
These domain
names include US.COM (United States), EU.COM (European Union), UK.COM
(United Kingdom), CN.COM (China), RU.COM (Russia), DE.COM (Germany)
and twelve others

- 4.15.2004 - WDBC Now BBBOnline Reliability Program Participant.
Web Design by Cookie, a member of the local Better Business Bureau,
Connecticut since 2001 has recently become a participant in the national
BBBOnline Reliability Program. The company further stands out in distinction
as it becomes one of only a relatively few BBBOnline reliability
web sites in the vast network of over 7 million total web sites worldwide. "Reliability
of business is one of the major concerns for all online consumers," says
Matthew J. Cook, President of Web Design by Cookie, "whether its reliability
of goods, services, or information. The seal and the business standards
required to display it, further demonstrates our commitment to our
customers. It tells them they can trust
us and that we will deliver on our promises." Although a BBB member
since 2001, the firm hasn't been able to display their affiliation
online until now because they didn't participate in the national program. "We've

- 7.25.2003 - New Privacy Policy. Over the last
several months, Web Design by Cookie has been reviewing and rewriting
its Privacy
Policies. Though business continues as usual, we've formalized
the new policy and have made it available on our site. It will
go into effect
beginning August 1, 2003. Review the new privacy
policy governing
how we use personal information obtained through our site.
- 3.4.2002 - Network Maintenance Friday, March 7, 2002.
Our hosting provider will be performing network maintenance between
2 AM and 5 AM EST on March 7th. Any outages should be brief. This
maintenance is expected to impact about half of our customers and
your web sites
and/or
e-mail accounts may not be operable during part of the maintenance
period. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience caused.

by Cookie (WDBC) has acquired a new domain name, WDBC.com to make

Awarded Top 10 Designer Distinction. Web Design by Cookie
was recently listed as one of the "Top Ten Web Designers in Connecticut" by
the Connecticut
Web Design Guide, an independent reviewer of Connecticut Web
Design businesses. "I am flabbergasted, this is great!" says Matthew
J. Cook, President of Web Design by Cookie when he was notified
by a prospective client of the distinction. The guide was developed
to assist business looking for quality designers to put their

- 5.30.2001 - Changes to Mail Servers. The main hosting
provider that WDBC uses has made some recent changes to the way the
mail servers are configured. From now on use mail.yourdomain.com as the
format
for both your pop3 and smtp server. Please replace yourdomain.com
with your site's domain name. You will not be able to send or receive e-mail
until you update this information in your e-mail software. If you
are unsure
if you are effected by this change, please login to the support
area for more information about your specific account or call technical
support at 860-424-4491. We apologize for any inconvenience.
- 4.18.2001 - Mail Service Restored. As of noon,
all email services have been restored. Our host has tested their
systems and all appears to be operational. Please contact us if you have
any
difficulty sending e-mail after 12 noon by calling 860-424-4491
or sending a message to support@wdbc.com.

- 4.17.2001 - Mail Server Down. Our Hosting Provider
is in the process of servicing one of the mail servers. During
this period, you may be unable to access your e-mail. We appreciate your

- 3.23.2001 - WDBC has been admitted as a Member of the
Better Business Bureau, Connecticut. Web Design by Cookie
has recently become a new member of the Better Business Bureau,
Connecticut. According to Matthew Cook, President of WDBC,
the "Better
Business Bureau (BBB) has long been the standard for consumers
to assess excellence
in customer service and business practices, we are delighted
to be recognized and become part of this volunteer organization." As
a Better Business Bureau member organization, WDBC must meet
and maintain BBB standards and ethical principles in conducting
