Our Commitment To Privacy:

This privacy statement discloses the privacy practices for Web Design by Cookie (WDBC). Your privacy is important to us. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. To make this notice easy to find, we make it available on our home page and at every point where personally identifiable information may be requested. WDBC respects your privacy. Our purpose in collecting information from you is to help us provide you with better service.

Information Collection and Use:

Web Design by Cookie (WDBC) is the sole owner of the information collected on this site. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement. WDBC collects information from our users at several different points on our web sites on the following Internet domain names wdbc.com, webdesignbycookie.com, wdbc.info, webdesignbycookie.info, wdbc.biz, and wdbc.us and their sub-domains (e.g. gallery.wdbc.com, future.wdbc.info, or domains.wdbc.us)

Cookies
A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's hard drive containing information about the user. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information while on our site. Once the user closes their browser, the cookie simply terminates. For instance, by setting a cookie on our site, the user would not have to log in a password more than once, thereby saving time while on our site. If a user rejects the cookie, they may still use our site. The only drawback to this is that the user will be limited in some areas of our site. We also use cookies to analyze trends, administer the site, track user’s movement and access to different pages, and to gather broad demographic information for aggregate use.

Some of our business partners may use cookies on our site (for example, advertisers). However, we have no access to or control over these cookies.

We maintain additional information relating to your domain name registration. This information may include:

We may make publicly available, or directly available to third party vendors, some, or all, of the domain name registration information you provide, for purposes of inspection or for targeted marketing and other purposes as required or permitted by ICANN, the Registry Administrator(s), and applicable laws.

Email
We use the return name and email addresses to answer the email we receive. Such addresses and names are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.

Free Quote
On our free quote submission pages, you can request a free web site development quote for your web site design project. The types of personal information collected on this page include: Name, Address, Email Address, Phone and fax numbers, business information, and details required to assess the cost involved in completing your web development project. All fields with the exception of name and email address are optional. The information you provide assists us in making an accurate quote for your proposed project and the more information you provide about your project the more accurate the quote will be. We use return name and email addresses to answer the email we receive. Such addresses and names are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties. Your business information you provide is not shared with any other parties.

Log Files
We use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track user's movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information. We use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design our website and to share with advertisers. For example, we may tell an advertiser that X number of individuals visited a certain area on our website, but we cannot and would not disclose anything that could be used to identify those individuals.

Orders
We request information from users on our order forms. A user must provide contact information (like name, email and billing address) and financial information (like credit card number, expiration date). This information is used for billing purposes and to fill customer's orders. If we have trouble processing an order, this contact information is used to get in touch with the user.

Site and Service Updates
We also send the user site and service announcement updates. Customers are not able to un-subscribe from service announcements, which contain important information about the service. We communicate with the user to provide requested services and in regards to issues relating to their account via email or phone.

Tell-A-Friend
If a user elects to use our referral service for informing a friend about our site, we ask them for the friend's name and email address. WDBC will automatically send the friend a one-time email inviting them to visit our site. WDBC stores this information for the sole purpose of sending this one-time email. The friend may contact WDBC at privacy‹at›wdbc.com to request the removal of this information from our database.

Links to Other Web Sites
This web site contains links to other sites. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy statements of any other site that collects personally identifiable information.

Sharing and Disclosing Information
We may share aggregated demographic information with our partners and advertisers. This is not linked to any personal information that can identify any individual person.

We use several credit card processing companies to bill users for goods and services. These companies do not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes.

We partner with other parties to provide specific services such as hosting, domain registration, or do-it-yourself web templates. When the user signs up for these services, we will share names, or other contact information that is necessary for the third party to provide these services. These parties are not allowed to use personally identifiable information except for the purpose of providing these services.

We will disclose personal information if required by law enforcement officials, subpoena or other court order.

Our Commitment To Data Security:

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

When our registration/order form asks users to enter sensitive information (such as a credit card number), that information is encrypted and is protected with the best encryption software in the industry - SSL. While on a secure page (which starts with https://), such as our order form or during the domain registration process, the lock icon on the bottom of Web browsers such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer becomes locked, as opposed to un-locked, or open, when you are just 'surfing'.

Our Commitment To Children's Privacy:

Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important to us. For that reason, we never collect or maintain information at our website from those we actually know are under 13, and no part of our web site is structured to attract anyone under 13.

Notification of Changes:

If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on our Home page so our users are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under circumstances, if any, we disclose it. If at any point we decide to use personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time it was collected, we will notify users by way of an email. Users will have a choice as to whether or not we use their information in this different manner. We will use information in accordance with the privacy policy under which the information was collected.

How You Can Access Or Correct Your Information:

With the exception of the domain name registration information, you can access most of your personally identifiable information that we collect online and maintain by writing to us at the email or postal address listed in the “How to Contact Us” section below. You may access your domain name registration information in our possession to review, modify or update such information, by logging into our domain name account manager service, or similar service, made available at our Web site at http://www.wdbc.com/domain/.

How To Contact Us:

If you feel we are not abiding by this policy or should you have other questions or concerns about this privacy policy or our other policies, please call us immediately at 860.424.4491, send us an email at or write to us at our corporate offices at 21 Frederick Street, Suite 303, Hartford, CT 06105.
