What if someone else (my former webmaster, web host, or employee, for example) registered my domain name? How can I get my account password or access to my domain name?

IF YOU CAN WORK WITH THE PERSON LISTED AS ACCOUNT OWNER
Please contact the owner of the account holding your domain and have them move the domain into your account.

Here are directions on how to move your domain into a new account:

1.   Log into your account http://www.wdbc.com/domain/login.cfm.
2.   Click on the My Domains Tab.

If you have many domains, you can change the view of how many would like to display per page.
Next to "View in groups of:", click on either 20 | 50 | 100

3.   Check the boxes next to the domains that you would like to update
OR to select all of the domains listed on the page, click Select All.

4.   In the dropdown menu under "Step 2,  Select Which Management Option You Want to Perform"
Select:  Move these domains in another account.

5.  Click Go.

6.  Enter the password for your account you are logged into.

7.  Enter the account name in which you would like to move the domain(s).

8.  Click the Move Domain button.

NOTE: If you do not have an account to move the domain to, you will need to create one.

TO CREATE A NEW ACCOUNT

  1. On our domain login page, click Create an Account
  2. Complete the information to create your new account
  3. Click Proceed

If you are the account owner, you can move your domains into a different account at anytime. You may want to do this to manage a domain separately from your other domains, or to allow someone else to access some of your domain names, but not others.

IF YOU CANNOT WORK WITH THE PERSON LISTED AS THE ACCOUNT OWNER
Before we can move the domain into your account, we will require documentation of your ownership of the domain to be faxed to us. This documentation will consist of:

1) Photo identification for the owner of the domain

PLUS, if the domain is owned by a business, at least one of the items below:

2) A signed and notarized request on company letterhead
3) A copy of your company's business license or articles of incorporation

Complete our fax form, submit it, print it and fax your proof of ownership to us at (860) 656-9081.
